The Fritz Winter iron foundry celebrated the opening of its new training center. With the reconstruction and expansion of the training center, 970 square meters are now available for the trainees instead of 610 before. A photo wall provided impressions of the construction work, which began on September 3, 2018.

"Since about 1975, the building has been used as a training workshop," reported HR manager Andreas Fiedler, adding, "With the new training center, we can now meet the expectations of the younger generation for modern training in inviting rooms with up-to-date technical equipment." The conversion is a sustainable course and investment in the coming generations.

The company has every year about 45 apprenticeships to fill. In total, about 160 young people are currently doing their training in 14 different apprenticeships at Fritz Winter.

The total budget for the conversion and expansion was 750,000 euros."There were definitely some challenges to overcome."For example, there was
the question of "how can the trainees be adequately prepared for the exams during the construction phase?" described Beck. He thanked the trainees who worked every day on the conversion and supported the project with zeal.
