This not only underpins Fritz Winter's reputation as an attractive employer and the largest training company in the region, but also sends out a signal against the shortage of skilled workers that is rampant in many places. "Although a lack of trainees is not an immediate issue for us, we are very much aware that many industries in Germany are affected by the shortage of skilled workers. With the new construction of our training center, we want to counteract this trend, because the training of young people enjoys an enormously high priority at Fritz Winter," emphasizes HR manager Andreas Fiedler.

750,000 euros for modern training & education
The aging old training center could no longer keep pace with the development and the demands of the future-oriented, internationally operating foundry company. Ambience, equipment, sanitary facilities - all this is now being brought up to a contemporary and modern standard. In addition, the training center is undergoing a significant expansion thanks to an extension. "This is money very well invested," emphasizes Andreas Fiedler, "because we train an average of 45 young people per year in the industrial and three in the commercial sector. With the modernization, we are creating an additional incentive for potential trainees, who very often get their first contact with us through our school cooperations or visits with their parents, to choose Fritz Winter as a training company and later job."

Completion: end of July 2019
The expansion and modernization work began at the beginning of September. The new training center is scheduled to open its doors on August 1, just in time for the start of the 2019 training year. "Then," explains training manager Klaus Beck, who together with Andreas Fiedler initiated the project in charge, "we can also effectively show the outside world how significant the topic of training is for us in the future-oriented rooms and workshops."

Glowing prospects for trainees: "We are the future!"
The motto of the construction project is equally valid as an incentive for all those who are interested in training in an innovative, progressive and team-oriented family business. Those who start their training on August 1 can look forward to one of 14 exciting professions that are part of the comprehensive training program.
