The Fritz Winter Iron Foundry has received the first so-called Green Loan Certificates for its efforts to invest above all in climate-friendly machines and facilities.
Five certificates in total with an amount of more than 50 million Euros were handed over to Chief Executive Officer Jörg Rumikewitz and Chief Financial Officer Ulf M. Kranz by the IKB Deutsche Industriebank.
This money has already been fed in the past years into energy-efficient machining facilities, the Technology Centre Brakes at Stadtallendorf and the US site Fritz Winter North America at Franklin, Kentucky as well as eco-friendly technologies such as ecoCasting.
Mr. Steffen Volk, member of the General Management of the IKB Frankfurt, ceremonially handed over the certificates at Stadtallendorf. This proves that Fritz Winter Iron Foundry with its investments meets the requirements for a “Green Loan”. The prestigious “Centre for International Climate Research” based in Oslo (CICERO) has confirmed this vis-à-vis the lending bank.
