Fritz Winter is a company with an international perspective within the German foundry industry.
It was founded in 1951. The main headquarters is in Stadtallendorf in Hessen. The group of associated companies include another foundry plant in Laubach / Upper Hessen.
The work of the company is focussed on the Development, Production and Sale of high quality cast metal parts for well-known industrial companies all over the world. Export sales make up over 50% of the company's turnover.
Our customers include the major manufacturers of passenger cars, utility vehicles, engines, transmissions, axles, hydraulic systems and heating systems.
We produce a wide range of castings in various material grades (grey iron 15-30, EN-GJL-150 to 300) – from non-alloy to high alloy – cast iron with nodular graphite (ductile iron 40-70, EN-GJS-400-18RT to 700-2) and cast iron with vermicular graphite (CGI 400-500) in the weight ranges of 1 kg to 3000 kg.
Quality reproduced with a strict adherence to the customer's requirements are the hallmarks of our cast components – which can be processed ready for assembly if necessary.
Fritz Winter has 3,700 employees, with their performance, and their knowledge, they place themselves at the service of our highly discerning customers.
We provide practical and intensive advice to customers in the use of materials and the design of cast metal parts to improve existing designs and develop new products.
Our modern and efficient production facilities have an annual capacity of 600,000 tonnes.
A special emphasis of our performance capacity lies in the manufacture of utility vehicle and passenger vehicle brake discs / brake drums, where we have an annual volume of several million units in this sector.
