Job description: Chef/cook
Chefs/cooks carry out all work involved in the preparation of food.
- Planning
- Purchase of food and ingredients
- Preparation
- Storage
They know the recipes for all types of dishes, for soups, sauces, pastry etc.
They compose the menu, boil, roast, bake and garnish.
Furthermore, in this occupation it is impossible to avoid working on Sundays and holidays; however statutory provisions ensure that this is offset on weekdays.
The apprenticeship lasts 3 years.
