The Environmental Policy of company Fritz Winter Eisengießerei GmbH & Co. KG, site Stadtallendorf, is based on our Policy Statement and is resumed in the following operation principles. It is fixed by the General Management and disclosed to all the employees.

• We wish to promote on all levels the sense of responsibility of all the employees for the environment.
• The impacts of the current activities on the local environment are evaluated and monitored by us, all significant impacts of these activities on the environment in general shall be examined.
• The necessary measures for avoiding and/or eliminating environmental impacts shall be taken. Where this is not possible, environmentally damaging emissions and the waste accumulation shall be reduced to a minimum. The resources shall be maintained as far as possible; in this context, environmentally friendly technologies shall be taken into account.
• The necessary measures shall be taken in order to avoid accident-caused emissions of substances.
• Procedures for the inspection of the compliance with the environmental policy are fixed and applied. In case these procedures require measurements and trials, it shall be taken care for the documentation and updating of the results.
• Procedures and measures are fixed and kept up to date for those cases in which it is noted that our company does not comply with the principles of the environmental policy, with the environmental programme or with environmental targets.
• Our customers are adequately informed about the environmental aspects in the context of the handling, use and storage of our products.
• The strict compliance with all relevant environmental prescriptions is a main target of our environmental policy. Provisions are made which guarantee that the contracting parties working within our factory premises in Stadtallendorf apply the same environmental principles as we do.
• The activity of the company is regularly reviewed with regard to the question if it complies with these principles and with the principle of the continuous improvement of the operational environmental protection and of the environmental management system for FW Stadtallendorf.
